Job Summary

Managing General Liability claims activities, the full-time remote AVP - General Liability Claims Manager will oversee claims handling workflows, review complex claims, and ensure best practices while collaborating with underwriting, legal, and distribution teams.

Key responsibilities
  • Supervise all aspects of moderate to significant complexity claims from coverage through resolution
  • Monitor key metrics, conduct file audits, and recommend process improvements
  • Coordinate training, mentoring, and development of claims department employees
Required qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent work experience; JD applicants welcome but not required
  • 10-15 years of staff management and claims handling experience, with commercial E&S knowledge
  • Strong expertise in General Liability claims management and handling
  • Proven leadership capabilities, including mentoring and supervising claims professionals
  • Extensive knowledge of the insurance industry and E&S markets
