Job Summary
Managing General Liability claims activities, the full-time remote AVP - General Liability Claims Manager will oversee claims handling workflows, review complex claims, and ensure best practices while collaborating with underwriting, legal, and distribution teams.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise all aspects of moderate to significant complexity claims from coverage through resolution
- Monitor key metrics, conduct file audits, and recommend process improvements
- Coordinate training, mentoring, and development of claims department employees
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent work experience; JD applicants welcome but not required
- 10-15 years of staff management and claims handling experience, with commercial E&S knowledge
- Strong expertise in General Liability claims management and handling
- Proven leadership capabilities, including mentoring and supervising claims professionals
- Extensive knowledge of the insurance industry and E&S markets
