General Surgeon Physician Advisor

Job Summary

To support a venture capital fund, the part-time General Surgeon Physician Advisor will provide clinical insights into surgical innovations and evaluate healthcare technologies while working remotely for approximately 2-3 hours per month.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate startups with a focus on general surgery, including workflows, perioperative care, and patient safety
• Assess investment opportunities in digital health, surgical technology, and medical devices
• Advise portfolio companies on clinical implementation and integration within healthcare settings

Required Qualifications

• MD or DO with General Surgery training
• Active clinical practice preferred
• Strong understanding of general surgery workflows and hospital operations
• Familiarity with medical devices and value-based care
• Interest in digital health and healthcare innovation
