Genetic Counseling Assistant

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Genetic Counseling Assistant (Mon-Fri).

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with test utilization management efforts and resolve issues with test orders
• Facilitate test set-up by linking appropriate samples and adding gene lists for custom tests
• Provide basic client services regarding turn-around-time, specimen requirements, and test status

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, preferably in Medical Technology, chemistry, biology, or related physical sciences
• Experience with systems involved in test ordering and setup
• Able to identify complex cases for escalation to a supervisor or genetic counselor
• Ability to perform related duties as assigned
