Genetic Counseling Assistant

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Genetic Counseling Assistant (GCA) to join their remote team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and report genetic testing results to patients in collaboration with the Genetic Counseling team
• Obtain and distribute results to genetic counselors and ensure daily reporting to patients
• Perform administrative tasks including data entry, database maintenance, and client communication

Required Qualifications

• Associates degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience in the healthcare industry required with an Associate's Degree; no experience required with a Bachelor's degree
• 2-3 years of experience in a laboratory or clinical genetics setting preferred
• Familiarity with genetic concepts and experience with Excel required
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite required
