Genetic Counselor Assistant

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Genetic Counselor Assistant I to support test utilization management efforts and resolve issues with test orders.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with test utilization management efforts, including review and resolution of test orders
• Facilitate test set-up by linking appropriate samples and adding gene lists for custom tests
• Provide basic client services regarding turnaround times, specimen requirements, and test status

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, preferably in Medical Technology, chemistry, biology, or related sciences
• Experience with systems involved in test ordering and setup
• Able to identify complex cases for escalation to supervisors or genetic counselors
• Entry-level position suitable for recent graduates
• Full-time availability, Tuesday to Saturday, 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM ET
