Genetic Counselor Assistant

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Genetic Counselor Assistant I, Issues Management.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with test utilization management efforts, including review and resolution of test orders
• Facilitate test set-up by linking appropriate samples and adding gene lists for custom tests
• Provide basic client services regarding turn-around-time, specimen requirements, and test status

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, preferably in Medical Technology, chemistry, biology, or related physical sciences
• Experience with systems involved in test ordering and setup, such as provider portal and LIMS
• Ability to identify complex cases for escalation to a supervisor or genetic counselor
• Experience in client service roles is beneficial
