Genetic Counselor Assistant
Job Summary
Supporting the Clinical Consultation team, the full-time remote Genetic Counselor Assistant will manage client inquiries, review orders for clinical appropriateness, and communicate with clients throughout the testing process while working Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Eastern Time.
Key responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the lab Genetic Counselor team to assist clients with testing orders
- Respond to telephone and email inquiries from clients, healthcare providers, and patients
- Participate in or lead operations and development projects as needed
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a biological life science
- Familiarity with genetic concepts
- Experience with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS)
- Strong multi-tasking ability and project management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
