Genetic Counselor Associate

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Associate Report Writer to support the classification and interpretation of genetic variants for accurate test results and patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and classify genetic variants using established guidelines (e.g., ACMG/AMP)
• Conduct literature reviews and database searches to gather evidence for variant interpretation
• Collaborate with clinical geneticists, bioinformaticians, and laboratory personnel to ensure timely and accurate reporting

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Master's degree from an accredited genetic counseling program
• Board-eligible status or active certification by the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) for Genetic Counselors
• Licensure in the state of employment, if applicable
• Prior clinical or laboratory experience preferred but not required
• Demonstrated proficiency in mathematical reasoning and computer literacy
