Genetic Counselor (Entry Level)

Job Summary

Supporting the operational workflow of preimplantation genetic testing (PGT) services, the full-time salaried Genetic Counselor (Entry Level) will review clinician inquiries, assess straightforward PGT-M cases, document preliminary test plans, and communicate with clinic partners while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Reviews clinician inquiries and assesses straightforward PGT-M referrals to provide risk assessments and document test plans
• Generates referral-focused pedigrees and prepares case documentation for clinic partners
• Participates in team meetings and assists with departmental improvement initiatives as assigned by the manager

Required qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited genetic counseling program
• Applicant for Active Candidate Status or board-certified with the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC)
• Foundational knowledge in genetic counseling with two years of professional education
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel, with aptitude for learning new software
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively in a remote setting
