Genetic Statistical Subject Matter Expert

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Genetic Statistical Subject Matter Expert (SME).

Key Responsibilities

• Review and ensure accuracy of Population Statistics (Popstats) calculations
• Provide expert guidance on population genetics and enhance kinship, paternity, and mixture calculations
• Collaborate on white papers and present at relevant conferences and meetings

Required Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance
• Strong understanding of Popstats calculations including Forensic Single Sample and Mixture
• Experience in reviewing and improving Popstats calculations for CODIS
• Ability to verify statistical validity of software changes
• Knowledge of the Combined DNA Index System (CODIS) is desired
