Genetics Variant Scientist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Variant Scientist II to join its team.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform variant interpretation using an in-house genetic evidence system to generate clinical reports
• Analyze and interpret clinical and genetic information from various sources
• Develop and curate genetic content for a range of genetic disorders

Required Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Life Sciences with variant interpretation experience, or
• Master's degree in a related field with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or
• Bachelor's degree in a related field with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
• Experience in a CLIA diagnostic laboratory is preferred
• Familiarity with next-generation sequencing and genetic variant curation is preferred
