Genomics Software Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Software Engineer focused on their Genomics Pipeline Area.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain bioinformatics applications and tools within the Genomics Pipeline
• Utilize scripting languages such as Python and BASH for pipeline management
• Collaborate in an Agile team environment to enhance software development processes

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field with 5 years of experience; or an Associate's degree in a related field with 7 years of experience
• Knowledge of bioinformatics applications and tools, including genomic aligners and variant callers
• Experience with Nextflow or similar pipeline management software
• Familiarity with clustered/distributed environments and cloud integration CLI tooling
• Demonstrated ability to learn new scripting languages and tools quickly
