Job Summary
A company is looking for a Geographic Information Systems Adjunct Faculty Member.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Geographic Information Systems (GIS) courses for online undergraduate degree programs
- Deliver courses asynchronously with an average of 20 students per course
- Cover courses such as Introduction to Geographic Information Systems, Integrated Spatial Analysis and GIS Application, Conservation Cartography and Visualization, and Field Data Collection for GIS
Qualifications:
- Terminal degree (e.g. PhD, DVM) in the discipline or a master's degree with ample experience in the profession
- Experience with online teaching and previous use of Canvas is desirable
- Prior experience in instructing Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is strongly desirable
- Professional work in GIS and its practical applications is also desirable
- Personal commitment to the environmental focus and mission of the university
