Job Summary
To support individuals in reducing or eliminating alcohol use, the part-time, remote Georgia Licensed Alcohol Counselor will manage a caseload of members, facilitate coaching sessions, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop personalized care plans.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluate new members and formulate individualized care plans through standardized intake processes
- Facilitate individual coaching sessions via video/phone calls and app-based communication, focusing on evidence-based interventions
- Monitor health outcomes and coordinate care while documenting sessions in EMR and billing systems
Required qualifications
- Certification as an alcohol and drug counselor or equivalent, recognized by IC&RC
- 3-5 years of experience in alcohol use disorder or addiction treatment
- BA/BS and/or MA preferred, with a background in addiction treatment or chronic disease management
- Experience with EMR systems and telehealth platforms, including Zoom
- Knowledge of evidence-based treatment programs and harm reduction models
