Job Summary
To support mental health and substance abuse care, the full-time Georgia Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician will perform clinical reviews, assess care appropriateness, and manage prior authorization reviews in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluates members' treatment for mental health and substance abuse to ensure medical appropriateness of services
- Performs prior authorization reviews in accordance with regulatory guidelines
- Conducts concurrent reviews of inpatient behavioral health cases for treatment needs and discharge planning
Required qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant field required
- Active Georgia Licensed Clinician or Compact Nursing License required
- 2-4 years of related experience in behavioral health
- Clinical knowledge of mental health and substance abuse treatment plans preferred
- Experience working with healthcare providers in a behavioral health context preferred
