Job Summary
To support the CDC's Poxvirus and Rabies Branch, the full-time Georgia Licensed Biostatistician will provide scientific and analytical support for vaccine effectiveness studies, disease surveillance, and epidemiologic investigations while working in a hybrid environment.
Key responsibilities
- Lead vaccine effectiveness studies and coordinate with partners for study implementation and execution
- Manage and analyze epidemiologic data to identify trends and potential public health concerns
- Develop and implement data collection systems and analytical methodologies to improve data quality and statistical rigor
Required qualifications
- Master's degree in Epidemiology, Public Health, Biostatistics, Biology, Life Sciences, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
- 5+ years of experience with data management and large-scale public health datasets
- Proficiency in statistical software such as SAS, R, or SPSS
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Access
- Experience conducting statistical analyses and interpreting epidemiologic results
