Job Summary
To enhance the quality of cardiovascular care, the full-time Georgia Licensed Clinical Charge Auditor will provide clinical documentation improvement, auditing, coding, and charge entry for cardiac procedures, ensuring compliance and accuracy in billing practices.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct medical record reviews to ensure accurate documentation, coding, and billing practices for cardiovascular procedures
- Educate physicians and clinical staff on coding changes to support accurate reimbursement for procedures performed in the Cardiac Catheterization and Electrophysiology Labs
- Collaborate with various departments to build charge codes for new procedures and maintain compliance with coding regulatory standards
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Georgia Licensed Clinical Charge Auditor certification required upon hire
- Minimum of 3 years of acute care coding or billing experience
- At least 5 years of clinical interventional cardiovascular or surgical experience
- Proficiency in computer/data entry and software such as Excel and Word
