Job Summary

To support a growing healthcare network, the full-time Clinical Documentation Coder will review, analyze, and code diagnostic information in patient charts while ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and regulations in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities
  • Review and code diagnostic information in patient charts, identifying opportunities for improved coding accuracy
  • Validate missed coding opportunities and audit patient charts for accurate coding
  • Ensure compliance with established coding guidelines, third-party reimbursement policies, and accreditation standards
Required qualifications
  • GED or Bachelor's degree (preferred)
  • Professional Coding Certification such as CPC, CCS, or CCS-P required; CRC is a plus
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in advanced professional coding, with HCC coding experience required
  • Experience providing coding education in an outpatient environment preferred, particularly in a Primary Care Practice
  • Proficient with payer policies, Electronic Health Records, and technology (Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook)
