Job Summary

To enhance clinical documentation quality, the full-time Georgia Licensed Clinical Documentation Specialist will manage data entry into CDI software, identify documentation improvement opportunities, and collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure compliance and accuracy in patient records while working remotely.

Key responsibilities
  • Input data into CDI software and conduct accurate record reviews for compliance and completeness
  • Educate healthcare team members on documentation regulations and guidelines, facilitating effective communication with physicians
  • Initiate and present clinically credible documentation clarifications to improve compliance and resolve discrepancies
Required qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Registered Nursing or a health-related field
  • 4+ years of acute care nursing experience and 2+ years as a clinical documentation specialist
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse, Physician Assistant, or equivalent medical professional
  • Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS) certification
  • Knowledge of clinical documentation requirements and coding background
