Job Summary
To support patient access to specialty medications, a Remote Clinical Pharmacist - Prior Authorizations will perform clinical assessments, review medical information, and communicate with healthcare providers while working flexible 8-hour shifts in a fully remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform clinical reviews of specialty medication prior authorization requests using established clinical criteria and guidelines
- Evaluate medical documentation and clinical information to support authorization decisions
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to collect necessary clinical information and communicate case outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Active pharmacist license in good standing in the state of residence
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
- Minimum of 1 year of related prior authorization or clinical review experience
- Experience with specialty medications and clinical review processes
- Strong knowledge of PBM or health plan prior authorization
