Job Summary

A company is looking for a Practice Coding Specialist responsible for coding procedures and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Code procedures and enter charges in compliance with federal/state regulations and internal policies
• Coordinate with Practice Coordinator and Revenue Integrity to ensure documentation supports selected procedure codes
• Participate in audits to evaluate coding accuracy and develop methodologies for improvement

Required Qualifications

• Must have a coding credential (RHIA, RHIT, CPC, CCS, RN)
• Minimum of 2 years of hospital and/or physician practice coding experience or completion of a one-year Revenue Integrity Internship Program
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
