Job Summary
Responsible for coding procedures and entering charges in compliance with regulations, the full-time Georgia Licensed Coding Specialist will coordinate with the Practice Coordinator and Revenue Integrity to ensure proper documentation and participate in audits to enhance coding accuracy, all while working remotely from Georgia.
Key responsibilities
- Code procedures and enter charges to comply with federal and state regulations
- Coordinate with the Practice Coordinator and Revenue Integrity to ensure documentation supports selected procedure codes
- Participate in audits to evaluate coding accuracy and develop methodologies to improve identified coding issues
Required qualifications
- Must have a coding credential (RHIA, RHIT, CPC, CCS, RN)
- Minimum of 2 years of hospital and/or physician practice coding experience or completion of a one-year Revenue Integrity Internship Program
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively with various personnel
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
