Job Summary
To ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, the full-time Senior Practice Coding Specialist will be responsible for coding procedures, entering charges, and coordinating with the Practice Coordinator and Revenue Integrity while working remotely from Georgia.
Key responsibilities
- Code procedures and enter charges in accordance with regulations and internal policies
- Coordinate with the Practice Coordinator and Revenue Integrity to ensure proper documentation for selected procedure codes
- Participate in audits to evaluate coding accuracy and develop methodologies to address identified coding issues
Required qualifications
- Must have a coding credential (RHIA, RHIT, CPC, CCS, RN)
- Minimum of 3 years of specialty and/or surgical coding experience
- Familiarity with data processing applications in a Windows environment, particularly in healthcare accounts receivable
- Knowledge of medical terminology, billing procedures, and medical insurance
