Job Summary
To ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, the full-time Georgia Licensed Coding Specialist will be responsible for coding procedures, entering charges, and coordinating with the Practice Coordinator and Revenue Integrity while working remotely from Georgia.
Key responsibilities
- Code procedures and enter charges in accordance with regulations and internal policies
- Coordinate with Practice Coordinator and Revenue Integrity to ensure proper documentation for selected procedure codes
- Participate in audits to evaluate coding accuracy and develop methodologies for improvement
Required qualifications
- Coding credential (RHIA, RHIT, CPC, CCS, RN) is required
- Minimum of 2 years of hospital and/or physician practice coding experience or completion of a one-year Revenue Integrity Internship Program
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively with various personnel
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
