Georgia Licensed Coding Supervisor

Job Summary

Managing the Hospital Coding Operations team, the full-time Georgia Licensed Coding Supervisor will provide daily updates on coding processes, oversee quality improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with internal policies while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the Hospital Coding team and provide updates on coding processes
• Oversee intra-departmental chart review requests and quality improvement initiatives
• Assist in developing policies and procedures for timely coding and accurate reimbursement

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
• 4 years of Hospital Coding/HIM Inpatient and/or Outpatient coding experience required
• Management/Supervisory experience in a healthcare-related field preferred
• One or more relevant certifications required upon hire (RHIA, RHIT, or CCS)
• Experience in coding across multiple specialties within a hospital coding environment preferred
