Job Summary
To support a nurse practitioner team providing general oncology triage and palliative care services, a Georgia Licensed Collaborating Physician will work part-time in a remote capacity, offering supervision, chart co-signature, and clinical consultation without direct patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as collaborating physician of record under a written nurse protocol agreement filed with the Georgia Medical Board for each supervised NP
- Co-sign NP clinical notes and charts per the schedule defined in the protocol agreement
- Participate in regular collaboration meetings with NPs to review cases, patterns of care, and quality concerns
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Georgia medical license (MD or DO)
- Principal practice location physically based in Georgia
- Prior experience with NP/APRN collaborative or supervisory relationships preferred
- Comfortable with remote/asynchronous consultation model
