Job Summary
To support the CDC's Poxvirus and Rabies Branch, the full-time Georgia Licensed Epidemiologist will manage epidemiologic studies, surveillance systems, and data management activities, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams both onsite and remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Design and support domestic and international surveillance systems, ensuring data quality and timely entry
- Conduct statistical and epidemiologic analyses of surveillance and research data to identify disease trends
- Prepare and disseminate communications and educational materials for public health professionals and stakeholders
Required qualifications
- Master's degree in Epidemiology, Public Health, Biostatistics, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
- 5+ years of experience in epidemiologic surveillance or public health research
- Proficiency with Microsoft Access, Excel, and statistical software such as SAS, SPSS, or R
- Experience with database management and data analysis
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams
