Job Summary

A company is looking for a Hospital Inpatient Coder.

Key Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-9 and/or ICD-10 codes to inpatient encounters ensuring high accuracy
• Collaborate with the Coding Manager to identify key documentation for quality and reimbursement
• Maintain productivity and achieve a 95% accuracy rate on quality reviews

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• 2 years of outpatient coding experience including ambulatory surgery and diagnostic coding
• Minimum use of clinical coding books required
• Certification such as CPC, CPC-H, CCA, RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CCS-P
