Job Summary

A company is looking for an Inpatient Coder 3.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and code inpatient and IVR medical records, assigning appropriate ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS/CPT-4 HCPCS codes
• Abstract demographic and coding information accurately into the EMR and assign correct DRG/APC
• Meet productivity standards and resolve coding edits and reminders in a timely manner

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Minimum 3 years of acute care inpatient and/or IVR coding experience
• CCS, RHIA, or RHIT certification preferred upon hire
• Experience maintaining high accuracy in coding and DRG assignment
• Ability to work in a remote environment and use Microsoft Office applications
