Job Summary

A company is looking for an Inpatient Coder 3.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and code inpatient and IVR medical records, assigning appropriate ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS/CPT-4 HCPCS codes
• Abstract demographic and coding information accurately into the EMR and assign correct DRG/APC
• Manage coding responsibilities, resolve coding edits, and assist with mentoring new coders

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 3 years of acute care inpatient and/or IVR coding experience
• Certifications in coding (e.g., Cert Coding Spec, Cert Prof Coder) preferred upon hire
• Experience in a remote work environment
• Computer/data entry experience required
