Job Summary
To support a growing medical coding team, the full-time Georgia Licensed Medical Coder will perform coding for ophthalmology, optometry, and podiatry services, review medical records for compliance, and assist in denial processing while working remotely.
Key responsibilities:
- Complete medical coding by translating clinical information into appropriate codes for diagnoses and procedures
- Review ambulatory medical records to identify and remediate coding edits and perform denial review
- Assist with documentation and coding compliance by following applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies
Required qualifications:
- Minimum two (2) years of professional coding experience
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent AND minimum two (2) years of coding experience
- Certified Coding Specialist - Physician Based, Registered Health Information Administrator, Registered Health Information Technician, Certified Professional Coder, or Certified Coding Specialist required at hire
