Job Summary

To support coding compliance in ophthalmology, optometry, and podiatry, the full-time Georgia Licensed Medical Coder II will translate clinical information into coded data, perform denial reviews, and assist in updating coding processes, all while working remotely.

Key responsibilities:
  • Complete medical coding by translating clinical information into appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes
  • Assist with documentation and coding compliance by adhering to applicable laws and internal standards
  • Collaborate with team members to resolve coding issues and improve submission processes
Required qualifications:
  • Minimum two (2) years of professional coding experience
  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent AND minimum two (2) years of coding experience
  • Certified Coding Specialist - Physician Based, Registered Health Information Administrator, Registered Health Information Technician, Certified Professional Coder, or Certified Coding Specialist required at hire
