Job Summary

To support a growing mental health practice, the part-time Georgia Licensed Medical Director will supervise advanced practice clinicians, conduct patient consultations via telemedicine, and collaborate with psychotherapists to enhance treatment outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise Georgia advanced practice clinicians and conduct patient intake and follow-up consultations for ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP)
• Prescribe medications, monitor patient outcomes, and suggest treatment plan changes based on patient responses
• Engage in collaborative care with Journey Clinical psychotherapists and provide feedback to improve care management systems

Required qualifications

• MD licensed to practice in Georgia with GA DEA registration
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a psychiatric-related field
• Experience as a collaborating physician is preferred
• Comfortable prescribing controlled substances for anxiety and depression
• Interest in psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy and a patient-first mindset
