Job Summary
To support a growing healthcare team, the part-time Georgia Licensed Patient Access Specialist will manage scheduling outpatient procedures, gather patient and insurance information, and enter data into the health information system while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Schedule outpatient procedures and perform registration functions to streamline the check-in process
- Respond to appointment requests and triage patient inquiries while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations
- Assist in financial counseling by collecting self-pay balances and verifying insurance coverage
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED; Associate's degree preferred
- One year of healthcare experience in Patient Access Services, Practice Operations, or Patient Financial Services
- Certification as CHAA, CPAR, or CRCR required within specified time frame
- Typing or data entry competency of at least 40 words per minute
- Knowledge of patient registration systems and Microsoft Office Suite preferred
