Job Summary
To enhance patient access services, the part-time Georgia Licensed Prior Authorization Specialist will secure accounts by performing insurance verification, validating prior authorizations, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to resolve issues in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits while creating pre-service liability estimates
- Act as a liaison between payers and clinic staff, ensuring timely resolution of authorization requests
- Document and maintain detailed records of authorization processes and patient interactions
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED; Associate's degree preferred
- Certification as CHAA, CPAR, or CRCR required upon hire
- Minimum of 1 year of healthcare experience in Patient Access Services or related fields
- Proficiency in data entry with a typing speed of at least 40 words per minute
- Familiarity with patient registration systems and intermediate Microsoft Office Suite preferred
