Job Summary
Driving the underwriting strategy for self-storage products, the full-time remote Georgia Licensed Property Underwriter will manage product line performance, develop pricing models, and foster internal and external partnerships to ensure successful outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Define and manage the product-specific underwriting strategy, ensuring alignment with capital provider expectations and performance metrics
- Develop and maintain pricing models in collaboration with the actuarial team while monitoring product portfolio health and compliance
- Provide transparency in reporting and support the MGU with marketing, business plans, and staffing models related to the product
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Risk Management, Actuarial Science, or Business Administration
- 10+ years of experience in Property and Casualty insurance underwriting
- State P&C and/or surplus line license is required
- Industry designations such as Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), ARM, or AU-M are a plus
- Strong knowledge of Property and Casualty underwriting and commercial lines underwriting
