Job Summary

To support a prominent M&A advisory firm, the remote contract Senior M&A & Quality of Earnings (QofE) Financial Consultant will manage the conversion of QuickBooks records into GAAP-compliant financial schedules, conduct financial modeling, and assist with buyer due diligence through the closing process.

Key responsibilities

• Reconcile and convert QuickBooks financial files into structured, GAAP-aligned financial statements while maintaining monthly entries
• Populate and manage the master financial model, including Proof of Cash and Net Income to Adjusted EBITDA bridge schedules
• Analyze historical financials to identify owner add-backs and run-rate adjustments, supporting the M&A Director with due diligence queries

Required qualifications

• Active CPA (Certified Public Accountant) in good standing
• 5+ years of experience in Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) or Quality of Earnings (QofE) preparation
• Deep proficiency with QuickBooks (Desktop & Online) and experience with messy ledgers
• Advanced Excel skills for complex financial modeling and reconciliations
• Availability for full-time hours initially, transitioning to flexible part-time availability
