Job Summary
To support the coding needs of various medical and surgical subspecialties, the full-time remote Georgia Licensed Specialty Coder will review, analyze, and code medical record documentation for accuracy and compliance with coding standards.
Key responsibilities
- Review and code medical record documentation for ICD-10, CPT, Modifiers, and HCPCS codes
- Audit orders and claims for accuracy to minimize claim denials
- Provide technical guidance to physicians and staff in resolving coding issues
Required qualifications
- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
- 3 years of coding experience in Interventional Radiology, Cardiology, EP, and Cardiothoracic specialties required
- One or more coding certifications (RHIA, RHIT, CCA, CPC, CPC-A, CPC-H, CCS, or CCS-P) required upon hire
- Coding experience across multiple specialties and remote coding experience preferred
- Preferred certifications in specific surgical coding areas (e.g., Transplant Surgery, Neurosurgery)
