Job Summary

To support the coding needs of various medical and surgical subspecialties, the full-time remote Georgia Licensed Specialty Coder will review, analyze, and code medical record documentation for accuracy and compliance with coding standards.

Key responsibilities
  • Review and code medical record documentation for ICD-10, CPT, Modifiers, and HCPCS codes
  • Audit orders and claims for accuracy to minimize claim denials
  • Provide technical guidance to physicians and staff in resolving coding issues
Required qualifications
  • H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
  • 3 years of coding experience in Interventional Radiology, Cardiology, EP, and Cardiothoracic specialties required
  • One or more coding certifications (RHIA, RHIT, CCA, CPC, CPC-A, CPC-H, CCS, or CCS-P) required upon hire
  • Coding experience across multiple specialties and remote coding experience preferred
  • Preferred certifications in specific surgical coding areas (e.g., Transplant Surgery, Neurosurgery)
