Job Summary

A company is looking for a Surgical Coder - Physician.

Key Responsibilities

• Reviews, analyzes, and codes medical record documentation for surgical specialties using ICD-10, CPT, and/or HCPCS codes
• Audits orders and claims for accuracy and completeness to minimize claim denials
• Provides technical guidance to physicians and staff, developing effective working relationships

Required Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
• Coding Certificate program (AAPC accredited) Preferred
• Coding experience Required
• Experience in coding across multiple specialties and remote coding experience Preferred
• One or more required certifications (e.g., RHIA, RHIT, CCA, CPC, CCS)
