Job Summary

To support a growing revenue cycle team, the full-time remote Georgia Licensed Surgical Coder will review, analyze, and code medical record documentation for surgical specialties, ensuring accurate coding and compliance with medical necessity standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review and code medical record documentation for general surgical specialties using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes
• Audit orders and claims for accuracy and completeness to minimize claim denials
• Provide technical guidance to physicians and departmental staff on coding issues and documentation requirements

Required qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
• Coding Certificate program (AAPC accredited) preferred
• Coding experience required, with preference for experience across multiple specialties
• One or more required certifications: RHIA, RHIT, CCA, CPC, CPC-A, CPC-H, CCS, or CCS-P
