Job Summary
To support quality improvement initiatives, the full-time Georgia Licensed Tumor Registrar will obtain, organize, analyze, and manage cancer data remotely, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and assessing study feasibility.
Key responsibilities:
- Obtain and manage cancer data for quality improvement and investigative studies
- Collaborate with administrative personnel and healthcare providers to assess study feasibility and resource requirements
- Support quality studies and initiatives of the Cancer Institute's Multidisciplinary Care Teams
Required qualifications:
- Associate's degree or equivalent in a related field
- Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) credential and/or Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) certification from the National Cancer Registrars Association (NCRA)
- Two years of experience in the cancer registry field or a similar field
- Experience using computer database systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
