Job Summary

A school districtis seeking a Visually Impaired Teacher for a remote position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist resource teacher and provide adaptive equipment instruction
• Deliver orientation & mobility instruction and daily living skills
• Facilitate IEP meetings, advocate for students, and provide educational tutoring

Required Qualifications:

• Teaching certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired in Georgia
• Experience in braille and low vision equipment adaptation
• Ability to serve as a liaison between parents, teachers, ophthalmologists, and the community
• Strong advocacy skills for students with visual impairments
• Ability to work remotely and provide telehealth services
