Georgia State Research Specialist

Job Summary

To support the Bridging Divides Initiative, the full-time Independent Contractor Senior Research Specialist/Georgia State Lead will monitor political violence, maintain and expand local partnerships, and lead election protection efforts in Georgia, all while working remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop state-based research and analysis on political violence incidents and their broader implications
• Lead election protection initiatives in Georgia in collaboration with local and national partners ahead of the November 2026 midterm elections
• Maintain and expand partnerships with key stakeholders across various sectors to enhance monitoring and analysis efforts

Required Qualifications

• Must reside in Georgia or an adjacent state
• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field such as political science or sociology
• 5-7+ years of experience in research, policy, or community engagement
• Research experience focused on the U.S. political violence landscape and early warning indicators
• Strong writing skills, particularly in policy-focused memos and reports
