Job Summary

Working from home as an independent contractor, the part-time Georgian Interpreter will handle on-demand phone calls, facilitating communication between Georgian and English speakers across various industries, including healthcare and government.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct interpretation sessions promptly and professionally, ensuring accurate communication
• Maintain a neutral and objective demeanor while managing sensitive topics during calls
• Adhere to established interpretation protocols and client instructions throughout sessions

Required qualifications

• Fluency in Georgian and English, with an understanding of cultural dynamics
• Education or experience in language-related fields such as teaching, translation, or interpretation
• Excellent listening and retention skills to ensure high accuracy during interpretation
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress situations, including emergency calls
• Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States
