Job Summary
To support a multidisciplinary consulting team, the full-time salaried Geospatial Analyst II will analyze topographic lidar data, create automated classification algorithms, and produce digital mapping products, with opportunities for remote work based on experience.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the initial processing and data classification of topographic and bathymetric lidar projects
- Create scripts, models, and macros across multiple sensor platforms for data processing
- Perform quality assurance and quality control on processed data to meet accuracy and qualitative standards
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in the GIS/Remote Sensing field or equivalent education and experience
- Experience in elevation data processing and remote sensing QA/QC
- In-depth knowledge of ESRI's ArcGIS products and various raster and vector data types
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, especially MS Office
