A company is looking for a Geospatial Data Scientist.
Key Responsibilities
- Build applied scientific tools for federal agencies, covering the full project lifecycle
- Work on projects related to optical and microwave remote sensing of snow and ice
- Deliver quality-controlled finished software based on customer feedback and revisions
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. in a technical field related to Earth observations or MSc. with 4 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of satellite-based or airborne remote sensing instruments and methods
- Proficiency in machine and deep learning techniques and Python libraries
- Experience with geospatial and GIS tools and processing large geospatial datasets
- Established record of technical writing for proposals, reports, and user manuals
