Geospatial Data Technician

Job Summary

To support ETL procedures for integrating diverse geospatial datasets into an enterprise geodatabase, the full-time remote Geospatial Data Technician will manage data extraction, transformation, and loading while ensuring compliance with data management plans and metadata standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Extract, transform, and load diverse datasets into an enterprise geodatabase
• Conduct QA/QC on geospatial and scientific datasets while maintaining data lineage documentation
• Automate data cleaning and transformation workflows and provide technical expertise in database integration

Required Qualifications

• BA/BS degree
• 7 years of experience in geospatial data management
• Strong ETL experience in geospatial contexts
• Knowledge of sedimentology, geophysics, and marine mineral resource data
• Experience with converting .xyz files to DEM rasters and integrating geophysical datasets
