Geospatial Specialist

Job Summary

To support a federal client, the full-time remote Geospatial Specialist will manage the analysis, development, and maintenance of spatial databases using the Esri GIS software suite, while also developing applications and integrating environmental models with GIS.

Key responsibilities

• Perform systems analysis, design, and program development related to GIS projects
• Prepare and implement user/project setups for GIS-related initiatives
• Maintain application software and GIS databases, including digitizing tasks as needed

Required qualifications

• BA/BS in geography, natural sciences, engineering, or computer sciences
• 3+ years of GIS production work using Esri software
• 3+ years of experience with Python and/or ModelBuilder
• Completion of relevant Esri training courses within the last 2 years may substitute for some experience
• Familiarity with GIS software upgrades and system management tasks
