Geospatial Systems Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff Geospatial Systems Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Aggregate data for target regions and ensure a complete collection of data is available
• Research open, public domain, and commercial sensor data sources for quality and freshness of data
• Build and use automated tools to preprocess and prepare geospatial data for AI/ML applications

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent work experience
• 3+ years of relevant industry experience in a fast-paced, high-growth tech environment
• Experience with open-source GIS libraries and tools, including PROJ and GDAL
• Familiarity with GIS modalities and formats such as GeoTIFF, LAS/LAZ, and ESRI Shapefiles
• Basic scripting abilities (e.g., with Python) for automation of common tasks
