Geospatial Technician II

Job Summary

Supporting the I-ATLAS program remotely, the Geospatial Technician II will process and edit bathymetric and topographic lidar data while assisting clients with data acquisition and processing tasks.

Key responsibilities:

• Process navigation and GPS data, and organize, analyze, and edit bathymetric lidar data and imagery
• Document data processing issues and identify sensor-related problems
• Provide backup support for field employees and assist during disaster response situations

Required qualifications:

• Must be a United States citizen
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of geospatial experience
• Ability to identify and distinguish colors, distances, and spatial relationships
• Familiarity with data management and confidentiality procedures
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and task-related software
